Practice Areas

Kammey Mahowald is a dedicated leader of our General Practice team at WFJ, bringing a wealth of experience in multiple areas of law, including business, consumer finance, landlord/tenant, family law, and personal injury.

Before joining WFJ, Kammey served as a federal clerk to the The Honorable Bruce M. Van Sickle at the U.S. District Court of North Dakota. During her clerkship, she gained extensive knowledge of the federal criminal system as well as experience in civil and criminal trials.

Following her clerkship, Kammey became an associate attorney at a Saint Paul law firm, where she litigated a variety of cases, including insurance defense, mass tort claims, medical malpractice, environmental law, persona injury, and product liability. She then moved to another firm, where she further broadened her expertise to encompass employment law matters. Kammey has successfully argued cases before the North Dakota and Minnesota Supreme Courts.

In addition to her civilian legal career, Kammey served as a JAG Officer within the US Army Reserve. She also spent several years consulting with small and mid-sized businesses on their legal matters, particularly focusing on contracts and employment issues.

Kammey is actively involved in her community. She has volunteered with the ERHS soccer program and the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association. Additionally she has dedicated her time to assisting in local school classrooms and supporting military family groups.

With her diverse legal background and commitment to community service, Kammey is a valuable asset to our team and to the clients she serves.
