Michael Healey

Michael Healey is a Minneapolis native who received his bachelor’s degree from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon and attended law school at the William Mitchell College of law in St. Paul, Minnesota. He also received training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, studying classical theatre. He is married with two wonderful daughters and lives in Chanhassen.

Prior to law, Michael spent seven years performing in New York City and was a member of the Screen Actor’s Guild. His background includes major roles in 14 of the plays of William Shakespeare, and he appeared in multiple episodes of Hot Off the Grill with Bobby Flay. Michael also worked as an extra on NBC’s Saturday Night Live. He is the son of author Judith K. Healey who has published major works in historical fiction set primarily in Western Europe and Michael James Healey, who represented injured persons in Minnesota courts for 35 years.

Michael enjoys playing basketball, ultimate Frisbee, and spending time with his family. He likes music, news, sports and art and is known by those close to him to keep extensive lists of his favorite artists, songs, plays, and other subjects.

He is dedicated to protecting the rights of persons under the law-primarily in the areas of civil rights, personal injury, contracts, employment, and worker’s compensation.
